California-roll (inside out roll)

Cover the bamboo mat in cling film. Lay half a nori leaf on the top half of the bamboo mat. Spread sushi rice evenly over the nori leaf and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds (black and white). Fold the bottom half of the bamboo mat over on top of the rice. Turn the bamboo mat over and open it again (so that the nori leaf is exposed). Spread a little wasabi and mayonnaise over the middle of the nori leaf. Lay the fillings (lettuce, surimi, avocado, gherkins) on top and roll the sushi in the usual way using the bamboo mat. Remove the mat and cut the roll into 6 pieces.

  • > 2 x 85 g sushi rice
  • > wasabi
  • > mayonnaise
  • > toasted sesame seeds
  • > 6 x 5 g pickled ginger
