Active and committed

Kikkoman soy sauce transports an aspect of Japanese tradition to Europe. In the same way that Kikkoman products enrich European cuisine, the Kikkoman company is committed to projects at other levels that enable people from different countries to meet and share their eating cultures. True to the motto of "Flavour that brings people together," Kikkoman is involved in promoting an international exchange of eating cultures.

> Cooking courses

International cooking courses have been held in Tokyo since 1995. The course participants learn how to use soy sauce in international cuisine. People from all corners of the world come to Tokyo to find out how soy sauce can supplement and enrich their own country's dishes.

> Kikkoman Masters

A recipe competition for professional chefs was held annually in Germany between 1990 and 2001. Similar competitions are still held in the UK, the USA and France.

> Student exchanges

Japanese students discover the USA and Europe. European and US students experience Japan. Youth for Understanding (YFU), an independent association that was founded in 1978, is actively supported by Kikkoman.
