Commitment to reduced salt nutrition

Kikkoman is delighted that its "Naturally brewed soy sauce with 43% less salt" has received the Special Attention Award 2009 from the Voedingscentrum Nederland (Dutch Nutrition Centre). The award is presented to food manufacturers in recognition of their efforts to promote reduced salt nutrition. Soy sauce is by nature relatively salty, so Kikkoman's initiative to brew a product with 43% less salt deserves special attention.

Two products in addition to the naturally brewed soy sauce with 43 % less salt received the Special Attention Award: "Zozijs" (a sausage roll product) by Smilde Bakery and Kroepoek by Conimex.
